Another 'sneak peek' of something new for NTS

The pictures to the left and right should give visitors to the European Train Enthusiasts Great Lakes website a taste of another new module we will be showcasing at the National Train Show in Indianapolis from July 8-10.  The massive stone viaduct is the brainchild of Dan Roe and Adrian Wegener and spans over seven feet.  But don't expect skiers on the white slopes- the slopes of the canyon are green and summer-like.  What you are seeing is the 'underneath' of the scenery comprised of plaster cloth over nylon screen...

Something new at NTS...

Visitors to the ETEGL layout at the National Train Show in Indianapolis will be treated to several new modules on our modular H.O. scale European themed Marklin layout.  One of them, featuring a (normally) quiet suburban street, includes a group of protesters demanding 'Rente Mit 30' ('Retirement at 30') and '120 Tage Urlaub' ('120 days vacation') .  A group of punkers have joined the protest and the entire street is covered in brilliant light from the streetlights.    The module is the brainchild of member Werner Klein.

The ETEGL would like to invite everyone to come visit our layout at the NMRA National Train Show in Indianapolis, Indiana from July 8-10.  Our display will cover an unprecedented 1200 square feet with trains covering over one and a third scale miles of main line.  Several new modules will make their debut and there will be additional interactive opportunities for kids big and small.

Enjoy a multimedia presentation to learn more about European trains and railroading, and help yourself to complimentary literature from our information table.  Representatives from our primary model train manufacturer, Marklin, Inc., will also be in attendance.  Click on one of the links below for more information:
